I have been lurking for awhile now and just made a connection that may be interesting.
In the Clancy novel "The Sum of all fears", in chapter 3 there is a scene with a bunch of Arabs peacefully demonstrating on a street, when the Israeli police show up to disperse them. There are news cameras there filming, when the police captain pulls his pistol and shoots the peaceful leader in the forehead, killing him. Right after that Jack Ryan says in response to his wifes question of "what does this mean", he replies, "It means the Arabs just figured out how to destroy Israel."
This scene is not in the movie version.
In the film version they had to change the bad guys from Arab Jihadists to Nazi's and White Supremacists to make it Politically Correct. The premise of the movie is that the Nazi's blow up a nuke in D.C. to start a war between the U.S. and Russia. So they can take over the world.
This is relevent to the "P" being a reference to Palistine.
