It started cracking on Thursday and they stopped all heavy equipment from crossing. Yesterday at approximately 9 am everyone left, even the traffic signal guy who's station has been manned 24hrs/day. A few cars loaded with people would occasionally cross and drive down for inspection, I assume.
The gap between the road and the sidewalk increased a great deal over night.
