NP wore a purple suit for her gavel in of 1st female speaker of the house wearing purple and later putting the pant suit up for auction. She later came out wearing a red cape/shawl/cloak after her 1st meeting at the WH as speaker.
Red and purple are known as power colors so I rolled my eyes at her clothing choice when I watched this happen. ( I was embarrassed that a powerful woman had to dress up like one to feel powerful ) I cringed for her and for women.
I real woman of power and in control would never announce it in such a way. Only weakness makes you feel you have to wear it on you to show people. I however knew my power. ( like people who want to make themselves look wealthier than they are wear tons of gold and diamonds in a setting that normal attire is more restrained and conservative)
I went off about what an embarrassment to women she was to have to scream she is powerful and was told about a society of women called Red Hat Sue Ellen Cooper is founder ) . They showed their solidarity by wearing red and purple at the same time. They were prominent in the SF Bay area and met once a month at a location.

AOC's coven signature appears to be white as that was the color cape she wore at the SOTU. We have all seen HRC and her gold cape.
These are all different covens with different powerful females wearing the cape of head of the council. The capes seem to be a debut outfit after their ascension to high chair.
