I think they just wheeled the poor fucker from one place to another spouting complete asinine theories, and the poor guy had no choice to go along with it. Must have been as close to hell as you can get, without walking through the gates.
That is an excellent question. His care had to cost a lot, and he lived in a nice place, if we can believe the pictures they showed us.
