My opinion is aligned somewhat with this sentiment. With what we have squandered on bankers wars, corruption, fiat banking, welfare, foreign interventions, political wastage from bad/corrupt policy, crime, drugs and consumerism, we could have permanent sustainable communities from the moon to the asteroid belt. We could have a colony halfway to Alpha Centauri. God, and history will never forgive us if we blow it and strand ourselves on earth alone in this cosmic shooting gallery. Staying here will doom humanity to suffering the inevitable extinction level event.
