Battle of the pundits: Trish Regan and China’s Liu Xin to debate next week

Background of China attacks on Trish Regan

Fox Business host Trish Regan was recently attacked directly by China’s state-run media. She had a fiery retort last night followed by a challenge to debate Liu Xin, one of China’s most prominent talking heads. They agreed. Now, it’s on.

Regan has been outspoken about the rise of China’s economic clout and the threat they pose with their aggressive trade stance. She hasn’t been shy about pointing out that as China’s economy grows, it becomes more of a threat to America’s economy. Both rely heavily on the world markets as the global economy continues to favor larger nations, and no economies are even close to China’s or America’s.

Liu initially looked to Monday, but then realized it’s Memorial Day. They two are working directly to set a day and time next week to debate.

The video above of Regan defending herself went viral in China where it racked up more than 20 million views on Weibo, a Chinese blog. This is why this debate is so important. It may be media personalities instead of politicians, but both seem to be well aware of the stance of the leaders in both countries, giving it a public shine many may not anticipate. There is much more at stake with the debate between Trish Regan and Liu Xin than most Americans realize. This won’t be viewed as two individual pundits going head-to-head by the Chinese. This is the US vs. China. It will make an impact one way or the other.

Exactly what I have been wondering..how many aside from the Justices also have stood in from of them to state their cases..was she even in the room? Then there is this, of the cases decided, during this time, does it make them null and void?
