Absolutely it's symbolic. There was a time when the person responsible for taking and releasing a picture of anything broken in NK would likely have faced summary execution, such was the obsession with presenting a perfect facade to the outside world. It is unheard of to allow public release of a photo showing a broken chain - until now. Highly symbolic, imo.

The Book of Enoch is non-canonical and has never been accepted by the church fathers as inspired Scripture. This Anon is misleading people who have no understanding of Scripture and church history. Here is a link to an article about why the Book of Enoch is considered gnostic and not true inspired Scripture.

Jude may have quoted from Encoh but that doesn't make the Book of Enoch inspired Scripture any more than Jesus quoting Satan's words makes Satan a Christian.

The non-reformed churches (Roman Catholicism et al) that still incorporate the Apocrypha in Scripture are largely heretical, counterfeit forms of Christianity that incorporate many anti-Christian doctrines. They elevate the "traditions of men" above God's Word and corrupt true, inspired Scripture.

Josephus provides a historical perspective to Judaism and early Christianity and I'm sure much of what he says is valid, but that doesn't make it inspired Scripture. Neither is the Apocrypha.

But you are entitled to carry on believing whatever you choose.

I'm just presenting the antithesis to your claims so that Anons are aware that there is another perspective to consider and to be wary of the FE claims which, tbh, discredit anyone who calls themselves Christian as they are so outrageously dumb.

Here's some true Scripture for you to meditate on instead of all that FE nonsense.

1 Timothy ch 3.

2 Timothy 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Perilous Times and Perilous Men

3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

The Man of God and the Word of God

10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Haha!

One would have thought it impossible to have a sub-Maxine's IQ without being sub-normal but FEers really push the boat (or sub) out!

For the FEers who think (erroneously) that the Bible supports a FE. Please read and then desist with the FE nonsense.

A flat earth, and other nonsense

Debunking ideas that would not exist were it not for the Internet

About halfway through this article is an image with the following script.

"Looking across Lake Ontario to Toronto from Olcott NY, 63 km (39 miles) away, only about ⅔ of the CN Tower is visible. However, about ⅓ of the tower, as well as the much smaller buildings next to it, are hidden by the earth’s curvature. Now that we have good telescopes, we can see this more clearly. If we zoom in on a ship that has half-disappeared below the horizon, we don’t see more of the ship, but just a bigger image of what we see with the naked eye. Likewise, if there is a clear field of view, we can see the top-parts of tall buildings whose bases are below the horizon (above). If the earth were flat, the bases would be as visible as the tops."
