If we were smart we'd take this opportunity to bring in younger folks wanting to farm but unable to afford it. It could even be a "government program" with easy financing (at the lower values from flooding), buy outs, homesteading type options. Declare an emergency about food security and develop programs to avoid the demographic trap. I'm 72, and none of my kids are interested, but there's lots of starry eyed back to the land types that are.
