>Pretty much only China and Taiwan are making computers now. Until about last decade there were some MIJ Toshibas and Fujitsus, but that's about it. And they probably even used some Chinese parts. And US made computers? Kek, that's a good one.
Laptops are a great target for hardware "add ons" akin to Supermicro servers. People take them home, and even if they are super secure and only for government work who doesn't use them for personal email, social media and banking/bills/finances.
The "2017 Q1 - now " wave of hardware should be replaced first.
Is there even a good, quick way to figure out what was added?
Cross-reference the actual physical hardware against manufacturers schematics?
