Before the ice age there was another advance civilisation but they went underground 10s of thousands of years ago and since then they have been running the entire planet.
Everything that has happened, rise and fall of civilisations, introduction of banking, wars etc is all directed by them and is part of a long term plan to get us to do all the work and they ultimately want to then kill most of us off to have the planet to themselves.
