All joking aside, I think the simplest explanation is that certain things are classified for a reason.

ie- the statement was sarcastic, but true.

There likely are multiple layers to the thing that would put people in the hospital.

Everything from rage that blows a gasket.. To people offing themselves due to remorse, guilt, or fear.. To people being freaked the fuck out about nanomachines.

So far it's conjecture though, no one has bothered to try to source the methodology in a serious manner.
