So if I'm understanding this correctly…

Musashi woulda killed Baki, if he was actually using his swords.

Then the old lady who put the soul in him in the first place, sucked it back out in a moment of combat where Musashi was showing dominance.

Basically…. it isn't nooooot a cop-out ending, but it was enough.
