I am a Mormon… we NEVER allow any adult to be alone with kids except in very limited interview situations were other adults are right outside the door. No normal classroom or other youth interactions EVER allow solitary adults to have access to kids.

Can't always prevent stupid parents from making stupid choices, but that's a personally matter and not institutional.

Symbols yes, but we do not believe they are Masonic. It might surprise you but symbols like a compass pre-date the Masons and have been used by other societies contemporary thereto, because they are so obvious. We have a few symbols which very simply remind us to make correct choices and of our duty to God.

Frankly… a Mormon can't remove their garments and commit adultery without consciously removing symbols of the covenants of chastity and obedience they have made to God.

Why don't you be a little more honest and at least report what the symbols mean to us?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_garment#Garment_markings

The "Square" on right breast represents "the justice and fairness of our Heavenly Father, that we will receive all the good that is coming to us or all that we earn, on a square deal". The mark reminds us of our promise to trust in Heavenly Father and accept his judgments as just.

The "Compass" represents "the North Star", or that an unerring path of right choices can lead us back to Heavenly Father. The mark reminds us that we have covenanted to obey Him in all things and at all times.

The navel mark represents "strength in the navel and marrow in the bones"; or that health and strength are a gift of God to those that live right, care for their bodies, and obey His law of health to not abuse the body which should be his temple. The mark is a reminder of our covenant to honor our bodies and keep them sacred so they may be a vessel of the Spirit at all times.

The knee mark represents "that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ".

We wear these marks on our bodies at all times to remind ourselves to never separate ourselves from God and Christ through disobedience. We believe that obedience to them brings their protection from the adversary and the gifts of the spirit so that we can be more effective servants in their divine hands.

The garments are sacred, not secret. We ask for respect and consideration and prefer to not be mocked or have our beliefs twisted and disparaged. We take our covenants to Christ very seriously and choose to wear reminders of those covenants and duties. We believe Christ would tell you to judge us by our fruits. How do the average Mormons live and try to honor Christ by their actions?

No, this is about the new House of Isreal… those who accept God's new Covenant through Christ. He refers to a people who will 'keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right'… as much as I love America this part about obedience clearly does not apply to most Americans as individuals.

Hmm, well I officially take a step back and apologize if I misunderstood your intentions when you posted an image with false claims about my beliefs. Perhaps you were misinformed and believed those symbols were Masonic. Now I have apologized and now you have been informed differently.

Holy crap where did you get the idea I can't admit I'm fallible??? Ok, I'm a piece of shit sinner and have NO FREAKING IDEA why God has put up with my sorry ass. He keeps forgiving me and blessing me with opportunities in life I do NOT deserve. Like at all. Is that better??

All I did is explain what our people believe the symbols mean… our aspirations for trying to follow God and Christ… In NO WAY should that high bar be interpreted to be a statement about my own perfection.

Please don't take my dry communication style too seriously, it's something I struggle with. Things seem black and white to me all the time because of my autism.
