I believe Afghanistan and NK both have substantial untapped resources including rare earths.
I work with antimony, tellurium, bismuth, indium & gallium on a daily basis. I believe most of it comes from China. China also has a huge problem with flooding mines. I believe a major source mine for indium/gallium is now flooded forever as water inundates the mine faster than it can be pumped.
