This person lives in PA 18th District. He gets it. The RNC at both the national and state levels need a transfusion of new blood. They keep doing the same old same old then whine when they do poorly in very winnable races.

I hate to break it to all of you who think it is about Trump, but, as a resident of the district in question, it just isn't. Unfortunately, support for Trump in this area is about the same as it has ever been. The reason that Saccone did so poorly is the same reason that Hillary did so poorly: Moral outrage doesn't sell.
Saccone and his minions ran an advertising blitz campaign that could best be described as a smear campaign. It relied on voters being outraged that Lamb, as a prosecutor, cut deals with various felons for lesser charges in order to secure convictions. The ads, in general, relied on generating "mob indignation".
SW PA voters are pretty immune to "mob indignation." It didn't work for Hillary and it didn't work for Saccone.

That's one way of looking at it, but, again, in this region, the idea of "Republican voters" and "Democrat voters" is misplaced. The elections are won and lost in the vast middle of people with very weak party affiliations.
