Impeachment would be suicide for the DEMS for several reasons

 

but it is the only legal option that they have left for themselves, without admitting the truth. There is no majority support for impeachment and they need 2/3rds majority in the Senate. Even if they did have the support, impeachment would be completely open to the public, so the DS would be exposed in ways they can't avoid. Plus, they already have experience with the Clinton impeachment trial that the public didn't care for and the result was that it ended up backfiring for the oppressive party.

 

The real question left is when does POTUS lay the Trump card?
