Nadler on impeachment: 'All options are on the table'
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler did not commit Wednesday to commencing impeachment proceedings against President Trump. "With respect to [the] impeachment question, at this point, all options are on the table and nothing should be ruled out," the New York Democrat said during a press conference. Nadler's comments come after special counsel Robert Mueller himself made his first public statement in years about the findings of the federal Russia investigation, in which he said if Trump did not obstruct justice during the inquiry his office would have specifically made that conclusion.
Nadler also indicated Wednesday he would not seek to compel the special counsel to appear before lawmakers on Capitol Hill. "Mr. Mueller told us a lot of what we need to hear today," he said when asked about the prospect of a subpoena. Nadler, however, did not spare Trump from criticism, alleging Trump's spin to the American people about Mueller's 22-month probe and the White House's continued efforts to resist congressional subpoenas were "immoral and unlawful."
"Although Department of Justice policy prevented the special counsel from bringing criminal charges against the president, the special counsel has clearly demonstrated that President Trump is lying," Nadler said. "He is lying about the special counsel's findings, lying about the testimony of key witnesses in the special counsel's report and, above all, lying and saying that the special counsel found no obstruction and no collusion." Despite calls from their conference to forcibly remove Trump from office, Democratic leadership is trying to steer its members toward accepting further oversight instead.
โThe Congress will continue to investigate and legislate to protect our elections and secure our democracy," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in her own statement. "The American people must have the truth."

My suspicion is that Comey needed Andy, there to continue running the game against Trump. Comey, in turn takes cover for him with Loretta Lynch..letting her know he's an important part of the inside ground game operation.
