‘Playing secretary of state’: Israel-based meeting of Florida cabinet triggers scandal & suit

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his cabinet kicked off controversy after conducting an official meeting on Israeli soil, prompting a flurry of criticism from watchdog groups and constituents alike.

DeSantis and his cabinet met Wednesday at the US Embassy in Jerusalem to proclaim support for the Jewish state and sign a bill prohibiting anti-Semitism in Florida’s public schools. DeSantis, who has promised to be the “most pro-Israel governor in America,” called the meeting “historic.”

The Florida First Amendment Foundation, joined by four media outlets, however, say the meeting violated state legislation known as the “Sunshine Law,” which requires government meetings to be open to the public.

“Holding a meeting at this distance in such a facility violates the constitutional and statutory rights of Florida citizens (and the news media) to personally observe the workings of, and for the public to offer comment to, their state’s highest officials,” the organizations wrote in a complaint filed earlier this week.

Mainstream Media Normalizing Pedophilia in Reality Show, Calling it “Age Gap Love”

A mainstream media station owned by Viacom is running a show accused of promoting pedophilia and spinning it to make people accept it as "age-gap love."

Last year, TFTP reported how a disturbing push was made to attempt to normalize pedophilia as a mainstream “sexual orientation.” The move involved pedophiles rebranding themselves as “Minor Attracted Persons,” with the hope that they will be accepted as part of the LGBT community. It was somewhat effective as multiple outlets reported it like it was okay. While this incident was extremely disturbing, even more worrisome is that this normalization appears to be spreading. Now, mainstream media is accused of promoting pedophilia by referring to it as “age-gap love” in a reality show.

In one of the most disturbing moments we’ve ever seen promoted on television, the UK’s Channel 5 — which is owned by the media leviathan, Viacom — is promoting the relationship between a 16-year-old girl and a 44-year-old man. Instead of calling this what it is, the television network called it age-gap love.

While the legal age of consent in the UK is 16, the program admits that the affection Andy had toward his child wife Beth began well before this age.

“Originally a friend of her Mum and over the years became close to her children too,” the program says as innocent music plays in the background as if this sort of thing is entirely acceptable.

“But once she reached the age of 16, he decided to give this controversial relationship a go,” it continues. What this actually means is that Andy had been attracted to Beth well before her legal age of consent and only after he could no longer go to jail for it, he became public with his sick desires.

“The woman is 19 in the video. If they’d met for the first time when she was 19, it would be weird but not criminal or evil. But he knew her since a child and they started “dating” when she was 16. That’s called grooming and abuse. Dude is a pedophile. This is horrific,” writer Matt Walsh pointed out.

Report: Over 600,000 migrants entered the UK in 2018

Official reports have revealed that in 2018, more than 600,000 migrants arrived in the United Kingdom in 2018 – twice as many as the number of people who migrated to France and nearly the entire population Northern Ireland’s capital city Belfast.

The data, which was released via the Office for National Statistics (ONS), stated that over a quarter of a million more people arrived with the intention of staying at least a year then left in 2018.

All in all – over the past 12 months – 602,000 newcomers migrated to the UK, while 343,000 emigrated – demonstrating a clearly significant trend toward overall net migration, amounting to 258,000 individuals.

Additionally, the British government granted asylum, resettlement, or alternative forms of leave to 17,304 people in the year ending in March 2019 – marking an increase from the previous year.

The Office for National Statistics reported that “Since 2016, the pattern of migration to the UK for work has been changing. Long-term immigration to the UK for work has fallen, mainly driven by the decline in EU arrivals. Despite this, 99,000 EU citizens still came to the UK long-term to work in 2018, a level similar to 2012. We are also seeing the number of skilled work visas for non-EU citizens increasing, although overall non-EU work-related immigration has remained broadly stable.”

Regarding the ONS report, the vice chairmen of the group Migration Watch UK, Alp Mehmet, had this to say: “Overall net migration remains at more than a quarter of a million — still unacceptably high. And despite the uncertainty during 2018, nearly 75,000 more EU arrived than left, as well as 232,000 non-EU nationals.”

“The clear message in these figures for the next Prime Minister is that they must make it a priority to deliver on the government’s pledge to reduce immigration levels by a lot, in line with the public’s wishes,” he added.

Last Christmas, the Home Office released a report which outlined their plans concerning migration in the year ahead which involved more work visas. At the time, Migration Watch UK declared “there are, literally, no measures to reduce net migration, now running at 270,000 a year”, while adding that it “seems certain that these proposals would allow a massive increase in the number of people entering the UK for work, and [it is]inevitable that many of these would find ways to stay long-term. This is not control. It is an illusion of control.”

Five Star Movement Leader Offers Resignation After Disastrous Election Result

The Five Star Movement’s (M5S) Luigi Di Maio has offered his resignation as party leader following a disastrous performance in the European Parliament elections over the weekend.

Di Maio announced that he would put his leadership on the line, offering to let members of the movement vote on whether or not he should remain as the head of M5S, Italian newspaper Il Giornale reports.

“In the latest forty-eight hours [people] have said everything against me. Declarations of all kinds from all over. I have also read your many messages. Some of encouragement, others that have made me think. And I thank you for this. Life, for each of us, it is made up of rights and duties,” Di Maio wrote on the movement’s blog.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has also given an ultimatum to populist interior minister Matteo Salvini, whose League party pulled off a historic election win in the European elections. “I will ask Salvini for full public trust. Otherwise, I will tell him that I am not available to stay,” Conte said.

The ultimatum comes after Salvini said he would be pushing to advance several policies which the M5S had previously rejected including the introduction of a flat tax and more autonomy for several northern regions.

“If you want to bring the country into a crash with Europe, assume the responsibilities. He will do it, I will not do it,” Conte said remarking on Salvini’s plan to rebuke the European Union and push for larger deficit spending to pay for tax cuts.

Steve Hilton: Joe Biden ‘Has Taken Billions of Dollars in Bribes from the Chinese Government’

Former Vice President Joe Biden took “billions of dollars in bribes from the Chinese government,” Steve Hilton, host of Fox News Channel’s The Next Revolution, told hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak during an interview on Breitbart News Tonight on Tuesday.

On April 28, Hilton laid out details of financial dealings between Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s second son, and foreign governments, companies, and oligarchs.

The Biden family’s financial ties to the Chinese state will become a central election issue if the former vice president secures the Democrats’ presidential nomination for 2020, predicted Hilton.

“If [Joe Biden] is [nominated], it will be the central issue, actually, because there’s no question that the number one strategic priority for the next president will be keeping America ahead in the face of China’s implacable determination to topple the U.S.A. as the world’s superpower,” said Hilton.

Hilton continued, “That is not some scare story. That is what [Chinese officials] have said in their speeches and written in their books. It is very clearly stated. Their goal is to topple America and take back what they see as their rightful place as the world’s superpower, and they want to do it on their terms.”

“They don’t want to do it by joining our system and beating us at our own game,” said Hilton of China’s geopolitical ambition to displace America as the world’s leading superpower. “They want to change the game. They want to continue with their authoritarian one-party rule system of governance and spread that as an empire all around the world.”

Hilton warned, “They have various plans that they are currently to deliver that: the One Belt, One Road infrastructure initiative, the Made in China 2025 plan to dominate the ten big industries of the future and so on. This is a really serious effort on their part.”

President Donald Trump, assessed Hilton, broke from the status quo of Western appeasement and facilitation of China’s global ascendance.

Hilton remarked, “President Trump is not just the first American president, but the first Western leader in any country in about 50 years to actually wake up to this, recognize, and say, ‘No, we’re not just going to sit idly by and allow China to overtake us and hope that by being nice to them, they’ll play nice with us.’ We know that’s not true.”

Hilton went on, “In his very simple but effective way, President Trump has said there’s only one language [Chinese authorities] understand, and that is the language of strength. China, Russia to boycott 'deal of the century' summit in Bahrain

China and Russia will boycott an economics-focused conference next month in Bahrain that is part of the United States' Middle East peace plan.

Chinese Ambassador to Palestine Guo Wei made the announcement to Palestine's state-run WAFA news agency on Monday.

"Boycotting the Bahrain conference comes within the framework of a bilateral Russian-Chinese agreement not to participate in it," Wei said.

He added that the Chinese government supported the Palestinians rights to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.

The White House will co-host the June 25-26 conference in Manama focusing on economic aspects of President Donald Trump's long-delayed Israeli-Palestinian peace plan.

The plan, which has been two years in the making, envisions large-scale investment and infrastructure work in the Palestinian territories but the central political elements remain mostly unknown.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has long dismissed the plan - known as the "deal of the century".

"The Palestinian Authority does not recognise this conference," Abbas said on Monday.

"Trump's 'deal of the century' will go to hell, as will the economic workshop in Bahrain that the Americans intend to hold," he added.

Palestinians have boycotted the US administration since Trump broke with decades of consensus and recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital in December 2017.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will send senior ministers to participate in the conference despite calls by Palestinian leadership for an Arab boycott of the meeting.

South Texas Attorney Bribed Detention Center Officers for Migrant Data, Say Feds

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Federal authorities arrested three detention officers who worked at immigration centers for allegedly selling migrant data to a local attorney for client leads. Authorities have not arrested or named any attorneys in connection with the case.

The arrests took place this week after a federal grand jury charged 42-year-old Benito Barrientez, 30-year-old Damian Ortiz, and 42-year-old Exy Adelaida Gomez with various counts of bribery and conspiracy to commit bribery, court documents revealed. The U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed that federal agents arrested the three suspects on Wednesday.

The suspects worked as detention officers in two separate immigration facilities. Prosecutors allege the trio received money from a local immigration attorney in exchange for lists of detainees. The local attorney would reportedly use the lists as contact leads to offer legal services.

Court documents say the unnamed attorney paid between $200 and $500 per list. The group allegedly furnished numerous rosters starting in January 2019. The documents are listed as law enforcement-sensitive since they include the detainee’s name, date of birth, “A-numbers” or alien identification numbers, country of origin, and detention locations.

Law enforcement sources revealed to Breitbart News that authorities in the Rio Grande Valley are investigating more than one immigration attorney in connection with the case.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of Professional Responsibility.

How can conservatives realize that climate change is a total hoax, but still be CONNED by the vaccine hoax which is run the exact same way?

There’s a sizable contingent of the so-called “conservative” movement that, at the same time that they’re decrying climate change hysteria as the hoax that it obviously is, somehow continue to fall hook, line, and sinker for the vaccine hysteria hoax, which is propagated on the masses using many of the same obvious manipulation tactics.

Take The Daily Caller, for instance. In a recent piece about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), the seemingly conservative news outlet rightfully mocked the freshman House member for suggesting that a spate of recent tornado warnings in the Washington, D.C., area somehow prove that there’s a “climate crisis,” which she believes is going to lead to the end of the world in 12 years.

But when it comes to the measles hysteria being generated as part of a mass push for mandatory vaccination, The Daily Caller employs the same ridiculous fear-mongering tactics that AOC and other Leftists do with regard to climate change, attempting to scare readers into believing that an alleged “anti-vax” crisis is fueling the spread of infectious disease around the country and world.

In 2015, The Daily Caller even went so far as to try to link anti-vaccination sentiments to the corrupt Democrat Party and Hillary Clinton, insinuating that if you don’t support the government forcibly injecting yourself and your children with deadly chemicals, then you’re somehow a non-thinking liberal.

Another allegedly conservative news outlet known as National Review did something even worse that same year, having come right out and made the ridiculous claim that “mandatory vaccination is conservative,” further alleging that “liberals have been the anti-vaccine warriors” in a blatant attempt to polarize the issue along political lines.

Keep in mind that National Review, much like The Daily Caller simultaneously adheres to the belief that climate hysteria and the climate anxiety it produces in Leftists is based on nothing more than fear and paranoia about some future global crisis that, for all intents and purposes, never actually materializes – which is exactly what National Review and The Daily Caller are doing with regard to vaccines.

The Daily Wire is another worthy mention here, as this self-stated conservative news outlet seemingly sided with a New York City judge who recently decided that forced measles vaccination somehow doesn’t violate the United States Constitution.

In another article published by The Daily Wire, a different writer seemingly sided with the establishment family members of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who recently slapped their names on an opinion piece published by Politico that called on all Americans to ignore RFJ Jr.’s warnings about the dangers of vaccines, and to vaccinate their children regardless.

And yet, when it comes to climate change and global warming, which are marketed using similar tactics, The Daily Wire contends that it’s basically an overblown conspiracy theory, the purpose of which is to destroy freedom, and more importantly, capitalism.

The True Cost of Israel: U.S. support goes far beyond the official numbers

…In 1992, the AIPAC President bragged how he “got almost a billion dollars in other goodies [for Israel] that people don’t even know about.” In 2012, Israel’s former commander-in-chief said that between 2009 and 2012 American taxpayers had paid for more of his country’s defense budget than had Israeli taxpayers….

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) concluded its annual conference late last month, triggering the usual debate in various alternative media outlets. Why does so much U.S. taxpayer money go to a small and not particularly useful client state that has a vibrant European-level economy and is already a regional military colossus?

Those who support the cash flow argue that Israel is threatened, most notably by Iran; they claim the assistance, which has been largely but not completely used to buy American-made weapons, is required to maintain a qualitative edge over the country’s potential enemies. Those who oppose the aid would counter that the Iranian threat is largely an Israeli and Saudi Arabian invention, used to justify continued American support for the national-security policies of both countries. And they would add that Tel Aviv is more than able to defend itself and pay for its own military establishment.

In truth, American aid to Israel is something like a pot of gold that keeps on giving. Both sides in the discussion would probably agree that the domestic Israel Lobby has been instrumental in sustaining the high level of aid, though they would undoubtedly disagree over whether that is a good or bad thing. The operation of “The Lobby,” generally regarded as the most powerful voice on foreign policy in Washington, led Professors Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer to ask, “Why has the U.S. been willing to set aside its own security … in order to advance the interests of another state? [No] explanation can account for the remarkable level of material and diplomatic support that the U.S. provides.” They observed that “Other special interest groups have managed to skew foreign policy, but no lobby has managed to divert it as far from what the national interest would suggest, while simultaneously convincing Americans that U.S. interests and those of the other country—in this case, Israel—are essentially identical.”

Since the foundation of the state of Israel in 1948, it has been “the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II,” according to the Congressional Research Service. The United States has provided Israel with $233.7 billion in adjusted for inflation aid between 1948 through the end of 2012, reports Haaretz. Current discussions center on the Obama administration’s memo of understanding with Israel that promised it $38 billion in military assistance over the next 10 years, a considerable sum but nevertheless a total that is far less than what is actually received annually from the United States Treasury and from other American sources.

Bombshell Mueller News Conf. Launches Next 2 Years of Dem. Attacks on POTUS

The volume documented Russian attempts to influence the last presidential election, Mueller said, “as well our conclusion that there was insufficient evidence to charge a broader conspiracy.”

“Insufficient evidence” is a nice, lawyerly way of avoiding saying that two years and tens of millions of taxpayer dollars have been wasted.

Or, as Trump might put it: “No collusion.”

$90 million lawsuit: 'Toxic' whiteness purge at NYC education department sees 'totalitarian threat,' longtime execs demoted

A $90 million lawsuit claims the chancellor of the New York City Department of Education embarked on a mission to purge "toxic" whiteness from the city schools, which saw Richard Carranza issue a "totalitarian threat" against employees after he took over last year and the demotion of longtime executives in favor of less-qualified persons of color, the New York Post reported.

"On June 27, 2018, Carranza addressed the restructuring of his administration … announcing to all DOE employees … that 'if you draw a paycheck from DOE,' you will either 'Get on board with [my] equity platform or leave,' a totalitarian threat to his employees' salaries and financial future that Carranza used to silence Caucasian DOE employees impacted by his discriminatory actions for no reason other than their race," read the suit filed Tuesday in New York State Supreme Court.

The suit's plaintiffs are a trio of white executives — Lois Hererra, Jaye Murray, and Laura Feijoo — who were demoted after Carranza took over.

"Under Carranza's leadership, DOE has swiftly and irrevocably silenced, sidelined and punished plaintiffs and other Caucasian female DOE employees on the basis of their race, gender and unwillingness to accept their other colleagues' hateful stereotypes about them," the group's lawyer, Davida S. Perry, wrote in the filing, the Post said.

Herrera, who started at the DOE in 1986 as a guidance counselor and worked her way up to lead its Office of Safety and Youth Development, claims in the suit that she witnessed huge changes almost immediately after Mayor Bill de Blasio appointed Carranza in April 2018, the paper said.

One such instance involved executive LaShawn Robinson, who is black, the Post reported. Here's what the suit said:

Herrera learned from another senior administrator that Robinson expressed a discriminatory bias against her Caucasian colleagues on a number of occasions leading up to her promotion as Deputy Chancellor, including on or about May 4, 2018, while presenting at the "Border Crossers" training in her former role as Executive Director of the Office of Equity and Access, telling Caucasian colleagues that they "had to take a step back and yield to colleagues of Color" and "recognize that values of White culture are supremacist," as well as saying "We have all taken on Whiteness," while referring to being exposed to a society that has become toxic with Whiteness.

Satanic Temple Declares IMMUNITY From Supreme Court Abortions Ruling for Religious Reasons

The Satanic Temple said it would challenge Tuesday’s Supreme Court ruling that upheld part of an Indiana law requiring the burial or cremation of fetal remains, citing religious freedom in declaring immunity from the law.

The group, which is also seeking to put a statue of Baphomet at the Arkansas Capitol, has announced its intention to challenge the US Supreme Court ruling on Tuesday that upheld an Indiana law requiring burial or cremation of fetal remains, the Arkansas Times reported.

According to the Satanic Temple, one of its fundamental tenets is the inviolability of one’s body.

“Members of The Satanic Temple believe that non-viable fetal tissue is part of the woman who carries it, and as such, state impositions of ceremonial requirements dictating its disposal, barring any plausible medical or sanitary concerns, is a violation of TST’s Free Exercise allowing Satanists to contextualize the termination of a pregnancy on their own terms, with reference to their own religious beliefs,” the statement reads.

The group's spokesperson and co-founder Lucien Greaves told the Arkansas Times that the group “will not be made to pay for these punitive, superfluous, and insulting burials. We claim an exemption on religious liberty grounds, and we will almost certainly prevail in the courts if we are forced to fight.”

Another member of the Satanic Temple also challenged, on the grounds of religious freedom, a Missouri law that says women must wait three days when seeking an abortion, The Associated Press reported.

The organization, which does not worship or believe in the Satan from the Bible and chose the literary Satan as their symbol to promote pragmatic scepticism, is known for its vocal advocacy for separation between church and state.

The graphic, posted by AfD’s Berlin-Lichtenberg Facebook page a day after the European Parliament vote ended, featured the flag of Germany over the country’s eastern states, where AfD won the most support. The five federal states and Berlin were painted blue and titled the Federal Republic of Germany.

In contrast, the west and the south of the country were painted green and emblazoned with a black flag featuring the shahadah, or Islamic declaration of faith. The states were branded the “German Caliphate,” while a caption to the post read: “Pictures speak louder than words.”

While the account that posted the image removed it within hours of uploading, it still managed to stir some controversy on social media.

Journalist Killings, Arrests and Assaults Climb Worldwide as Authoritarianism Spreads

Myanmar, nudged by the conscience of the world, recently released two Reuters journalists imprisoned for more than 500 days – good news in what otherwise has been a dismal period for media freedom.

The 2019 Press Freedom Index by Reporters Without Borders shows how hatred of journalists has degenerated into violence and created “an intense climate of fear” worldwide.

According to the Paris-based nonprofit, 12 reporters have been killed so far this year and 172 are in jail. In the last decade, according to the group, 702 journalists have been killed, including 63 last year.

“The number of countries regarded as safe, where journalists can work in complete security, continues to decline, while authoritarian regimes continue to tighten their grip on the media,” the report states.

Myanmar ranks 138th of 180 countries evaluated on media independence, laws, abuses and other factors. Norway, Finland and Sweden are seen as the most free. The U.S. is 48th, dropping three spots since 2018. Eritrea, North Korea and Turkmenistan are at the bottom of the list.

Reporting under authoritarian rule

Many countries in the lower third of the Press Freedom Index are authoritarian regimes in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

In these places, which have few protections for free speech, media organizations are weak and often depend on the government for advertising. Journalists typically are poorly paid and have little training.

U.S. Government Wastes Billions on “Fragmented, Overlapping or Duplicative” Programs

The federal government wastes tens of billions of dollars on all sorts of “fragmented, overlapping or duplicative” programs in areas ranging from healthcare to defense, the production of U.S. currency and disaster response. It is a perpetual government-wide epidemic that has long fleeced American taxpayers, according to a report issued this month by the nonpartisan investigative arm of Congress, the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The watchdog has published similar documents in the past eight years listing more than 300 areas of waste yet the hemorrhaging continues because Congress or executive branch agencies have failed to act.

In the latest probe, the GAO identifies 98 new areas—in addition to hundreds that have been ignored—of fragmentation, overlap or duplication that must be addressed to help curb the waste. Fragmentation refers to circumstances in which more than one federal agency is involved in the same broad area of national need and service delivery can be improved. Overlap occurs when multiple agencies or programs have similar goals, engage in similar activities or strategies to achieve them or target similar beneficiaries. Duplication exists when two or more agencies or programs are engaged in the same activities or provide the same services to the same beneficiaries. “GAO estimates that tens of billions of additional dollars could be saved should Congress and executive branch agencies fully address the remaining 396 open actions, including the new ones identified in 2019,” the new report states. “Addressing the remaining actions could lead to other benefits as well, such as increased public safety, better homeland and national security, and more effective delivery of services.”

Here are some examples of new waste identified in the report, which also includes ongoing problems from previous investigations: The Department of Energy (DOE) could save “billions of dollars by developing a program-wide strategy to improve decision-making on cleaning up radioactive and hazardous waste.” The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services could save hundreds of millions of dollars simply by improving how it identifies and targets risk in overseeing Medicaid spending and by avoiding overpaying for clinical lab tests. The Department of Defense (DOD) could save millions of dollars a year by expanding its use of intergovernmental support agreements to obtain support services that include waste management. The U.S. Mint could “reduce the cost of coin production by millions of dollars annually” and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) could save tens of millions of dollars a year by more efficiently combating “tax fraud and noncompliance.”

Trump escalates attacks on Mueller

President Trump on Thursday escalated his attacks on Robert Mueller one day after the special counsel essentially said it is up to Congress whether to hold the president accountable for his actions during the Russia probe.

Trump’s outburst, which came in a series of tweets and 17 minutes of remarks to reporters at the White House, revealed the depth of his frustration with the special counsel’s first public comments on the probe, in which Mueller said he did not clear Trump on obstruction of justice.

“I think Mueller is a true never-Trumper,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for Colorado Springs, Colo., to deliver the commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy. “He’s somebody that dislikes Donald Trump.”

Trump also downplayed the possibility that the Democratic-controlled House would impeach him.

“I never thought that would even be possible to be using that word. To me it’s a dirty word, the word ‘impeach,’ ” he said. “It’s a dirty, filthy, disgusting word, and it had nothing to do with me.”

Mueller’s surprise public remarks on Wednesday increased pressure on the House leaders, who are facing calls from dozens of rank-and-file members to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has thus far resisted those calls, saying the House will continue with its own investigations into Trump.

The president’s team, and Pelosi, believe that impeachment could backfire politically on Democrats and would not result in Trump’s removal because Republicans control the Senate.

Trump proclaimed shortly after Mueller concluded his public remarks on Wednesday that “the case is closed.” But on Thursday he remained fixated on the special counsel, whose comments dominated cable-news coverage, questioning Mueller’s credibility while venting anger at the possibility of being impeached.

“I’m innocent of all charges,” Trump declared to reporters, before stating that he has “presidential powers that you wouldn't believe” that shield him from an obstruction charge.

“I don’t even have to rely on Article II,” he continued, referring to the section of the Constitution that defines the president’s powers. “There was no crime. There was no obstruction. There was no collusion. There was no nothing.”

If Israelis have learned anything in the last two months, it's that it is all about the Israeli Right — but the Israeli Right does not necessarily secure a victory.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu successfully branded the initial winter elections for the 35th government and the 21st Knesset early on with his famous “Bibi or Tibi.”

In so doing, he reduced a complex political map to one central question. Did Israeli voters want a left-wing government that would give up the West Bank and divide Jerusalem or a right-wing government that would keep that territory.

Netanyahu's left-wing branding was fairly broad. He included the Blue and White party, even though the party’s platform never spoke of supporting a Palestinian state, and included well known right-wing politicians such as Moshe Ya’alon.

The going wisdom was that the opportunity for a pro-right resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was so strong under the Trump administration, that the right-wing parties should forgo all their partisan concerns in favor of a secure right-wing government.

Indeed, Israeli voters did lean Right when they went to the polls and gave those parties 49 seats, more than for any other bloc. But the Trump factor was not strong enough to erase the divisions among them. In the immediate aftermath of his failure to form a government, falling short by one seat, Netanyahu immediately blamed Yisrael Beytenu party head Avigdor Liberman. He called his former right-wing partner “left-wing” for not accepting a compromise platform that would have allowed for a government of 65.

But it was a phrasing that fell short of the mark, given the disarray among the Right.

Liberman, a Moldovan immigrant from the former Soviet Union, has formed a niche for himself as a right-wing secularist, who lives in the West Bank settlement of Nokdim, is strong on security and a supporter of the division between religion and state.

Mueller Destroys the Rule of Law—AGAIN!

Dershowitz: Shame on Robert Mueller for exceeding his role

The statement by special counsel Robert Mueller in a Wednesday press conference that “if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that” is worse than the statement made by then-FBI Director James Comey regarding Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. Comey declared in a July 2016 press conference that “although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.”

Comey was universally criticized for going beyond his responsibility to state whether there was sufficient evidence to indict Clinton. Mueller, however, did even more. He went beyond the conclusion of his report and gave a political gift to Democrats in Congress who are seeking to institute impeachment proceedings against President Trump. By implying that President Trump might have committed obstruction of justice, Mueller effectively invited Democrats to institute impeachment proceedings. Obstruction of justice is a “high crime and misdemeanor” which, under the Constitution, authorizes impeachment and removal of the president.

Until today, I have defended Mueller against the accusations that he is a partisan. I did not believe that he personally favored either the Democrats or the Republicans, or had a point of view on whether President Trump should be impeached. But I have now changed my mind. By putting his thumb, indeed his elbow, on the scale of justice in favor of impeachment based on obstruction of justice, Mueller has revealed his partisan bias. He also has distorted the critical role of a prosecutor in our justice system.

Virtually everybody agrees that, in the normal case, a prosecutor should never go beyond publicly disclosing that there is insufficient evidence to indict. No responsible prosecutor should ever suggest that the subject of his investigation might indeed be guilty even if there was insufficient evidence or other reasons not to indict. Supporters of Mueller will argue that this is not an ordinary case, that he is not an ordinary prosecutor and that President Trump is not an ordinary subject of an investigation. They are wrong. The rules should not be any different.

Remember that federal investigations by prosecutors, including special counsels, are by their very nature one-sided. They hear only evidence of guilt and not exculpatory evidence. Their witnesses are not subject to the adversarial process. There is no cross examination. The evidence is taken in secret behind the closed doors of a grand jury. For that very reason, prosecutors can only conclude whether there is sufficient evidence to commence a prosecution. They are not in a position to decide whether the subject of the investigation is guilty or is innocent of any crimes.

That determination of guilt or innocence requires a full adversarial trial with a zealous defense attorney, vigorous cross examination, exclusionary rules of evidence and other due process safeguards. Such safeguards were not present in this investigation, and so the suggestion by Mueller that Trump might well be guilty deserves no credence. His statement, so inconsistent with his long history, will be used to partisan advantage by Democrats, especially all those radicals who are seeking impeachment.

No prosecutor should ever say or do anything for the purpose of helping one party or the other. I cannot imagine a plausible reason why Mueller went beyond his report and gratuitously suggested that President Trump might be guilty, except to help Democrats in Congress and to encourage impeachment talk and action. Shame on Mueller for abusing his position of trust and for allowing himself to be used for such partisan advantage.

Six F-35 Joint Strike Fighters from the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, simulating aggressor air training accidentally created contrails that resembled a penis, base officials told Military.com

"We've seen the photos that have been circulating online from Tuesday afternoon," said spokeswoman Maj. Rebecca Heyse in an email. "The 56th Fighter Wing senior leadership reviewed the training tapes from the flight and confirmed that F-35s conducting standard fighter training maneuvers Tuesday afternoon in the Gladden and Bagdad military operating airspace resulted in the creation of the contrails.

"There was no nefarious or inappropriate behavior during the training flight," she continued. "The flight audio was reviewed by senior leadership, and it confirmed the statements by the pilots explaining what happened."

Heyse explained that while the four-ship, "red air" aggressor team faced off with the two-ship blue team, the red air team pulled back, requiring the blue team to come around before re-engaging in the dogfight.

"The contrails were made by the 2-ship as they were beginning the fight with the 4-ship and then told to hold off, causing them to hook to reposition before then beginning the fight again, causing them to hook once more," Heyse said.

That flight pattern created something like a phallic symbol in the sky. What is not seen in the photos circulating on social media is a "third vertical contrail" parallel to the two original contrails, she added.

The accidental drawing comes after a trend of aerial maneuvers by U.S. military units that involved drawing penis-like shapes across the sky in 2018.

Last year, two West Coast-based Marines were investigated and subsequently punished for executing a flight pattern that resembled a phallus in late October; they were later restricted to ground duties and given administrative discipline, the Marine Corps confirmed in December.

It was suspected that Air Force crews over Ramstein Air Base, Germany, attempted their own sky penis drawing in April 2018.

And the commander of a B-52 Stratofortress squadron at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, was relieved of duty in November after sexually explicit and phallic drawings were found during a deployment to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Lt. Col. Paul Goossen of the 69th Bomb Squadron attempted to stop his fellow airmen from drawing "d—s everywhere," according to the investigation, which included penis drawings discovered on a moving map displayed on the B-52's Combat Network Communication Technology (CONECT) cockpit software.
