Complete Jussie Smollett "electronic file" released by Chicago police
Chicago police on Thursday released its complete "electronic file" of Jussie Smollett hate crime investigation file after a Cook County judge ordered the records unsealed last week. Another 300 pages of additional material will be released in about a week, the department said.
The police department on March 27 release a portion of its Smollett file in response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by CWBChicago the previous day. But, several hundred pages remained out of the public's eye because a judge issued an order sealing the records before CPD was able to release them to us.

Detectives collected nearly 70 hours of video during their investigation of Smollett’s claim, which the department eventually concluded had been manufactured by the actor. The video evidence may be released next week, the department said.
