“I can assure you in that context and going forward we’re going to continue to urge China to release the Canadian citizens,” Pence said.

So have to ask, why the fuck does the US have to get involved in getting Canadians released from Chinese jails on trumped up charges? Canada has not had an ambassador in China for quite some time and the Chinese have no respect for junior… Guess I just answered my own question.
