The reason your god no longer holds any power is because what the people worship has far more power than the name they worship. They do not worship the god of scribes and pharisee. They worship the very concept of divinity. The very concept of enlightenment and understanding.
Sure - there are some words in the songs they sing and some stuff in those ludicrous unison prayers that sounds like something the god of scribes would ask for….
But if they don't mean it in their hearts - then it is nothing.
You can't trick gods as easily as you think.
