Those are rotating supercells. Did you look at the skew-t diagrams? This satelite only shows part of the story. I am sorry to say that is earth does produce stuff like this normally >>6639375

it is called vertical wind shear. I am not trying to come off in a demeaning way, Sorry. You have different levels where the column or a parcel of air will rotate. Texas is dry but the Gulf of Mexico does introduce a ton of moisture. There in Texas and Oklahoma and Arkansas you have to different types of air masses coming into contact with each other. >>6639402
