James Comey Named As Defendant In Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against FBI

A female group of former FBI recruits filed a lawsuit against the bureau this week alleging that a "good-old-boy network" at its 20-week training academy which discriminated against women. In addition to gender discrimination, race and diabilities are alleged to be a factor in setting candidates up for failure.

The training involves firearms, academics, defensive tactics and navigating high-risk situations. And, according to the women, tons of sexism.

Male instructors at the academy in Quantico, Va., exposed the women beginning in 2015 to a hostile work environment, sexual harassment and inappropriate jokes, according to the lawsuit. One woman said that an instructor referred to an African-American female trainee as “spaghetti head,” a reference to her braids. The woman also said training agents made repeated sexual advances.

In particular, the lawsuit takes aim at the tactical training that plays out Hogan’s Alley, the academy’s mock town where hired actors play terrorists and criminals. Trainees practice making dangerous arrests where they use weapons. Many of the female agent recruits were kicked out of the academy during this phase more quickly and more often than men were. -New York Times

Named in the lawsuit is former FBI Director James Comey, who has been accused by one of the plaintiffs of dismissing her complaint. Also named is Mark Morgan, President Trump's nominee to lead ICE. Morgan oversaw the academy as a former top FBI official.

When Comey was approached by FBI employee Lauren Rose in a 2015 email concerning discriminatory practices, Comey gave her a virtual pat on the head and told her to use her "pain" to reflect on strengths and weaknesses, whatever that meant.

Of note, last February we reported that the DOJ's internal watchdog sanctioned at least 14 FBI agents and officials over a five-year period for sexual misconduct - most of which occurred under Former FBI Director James Comey's leadership. Prior to Comey's tenure as director, which began in September 2013, there had been no sexual misconduct charges.

What's more, Comey attempted to thwart the internal investigation according to IG Michael Horowitz, per the Daily Caller.

As Horowitz explained in his March 2015 final report on how law enforcement agencies handle sexual-misconduct complaints, his office’s ability “to conduct this review was significantly impacted and delayed by the repeated difficulties we had in obtaining relevant information from both the FBI and DEA as we were initiating this review in mid-2013.” -Daily Caller

Certified Organic Food Grown in U.S. Found Contaminated with Glyphosate Herbicide

Think you can avoid glyphosate by buying organic? Think again. A new investigation by Tropical Traditions reveals that many products in the organic grain market in the U.S. contain glyphosate residue at levels almost the same as conventional grains.

With over 80% of the U.S. food supply now reportedly contaminated with the herbicide glyphosate, many people are turning to USDA certified organic products to avoid this toxic chemical. Current USDA NOP (National Organic Program) standards do not allow the use of the herbicide glyphosate on organic crops.

However, a new investigation by Tropical Traditions has revealed that the U.S. organic grain market is contaminated with glyphosate.

Tropical Traditions has sold organic grains for years. After reading new research about the issue of “crop desiccation” done by using glyphosate on wheat and other grains just prior to harvest, Tropical Traditions decided to first test some commercial wheat products with wheat grown in Montana, North Dakota, and Canada. They sent the commercial samples to a well-known and respected laboratory to test for glyphosate.

All tested positive for glyphosate residue. The range was from 0.07 mg/kg to 0.09 mg/kg. Keep in mind this is glyphosate found in non-GMO crops. For a GMO crop such as GMO soybeans, which are sprayed heavily with glyphosate, the range is typically between 3.3 and 5.7 mg/kg. (Source.)

Next, Tropical Traditions tested the USDA certified organic grains from suppliers they had been using, sourced mainly from western states such as Montana and Idaho. Sadly, the presence of glyphosate residue was found in organic wheat and other organic grains, including organic barley, oats, spelt, and einkorn. The range was from 0.03 to 0.06 mg/kg, just slightly lower than the conventional grains that were tested.

The only organic grains that tested clean were organic rye and organic millet. There was also one variety of organic wheat from small-scale farmers in Wisconsin that tested clean from glyphosate.

Internal Report Says DOJ Did Nothing Wrong Targeting Journalists' Communications To Hunt Down Leakers

The DOJ's current prosecution of Julian Assange threatens the profession of journalism. By turning cultivating sources and publishing classified documents into acts of treason, the DOJ is undermining protections supposedly guaranteed by the First Amendment and shored up by years of case law.

But the DOJ has been undermining these protections for years. Six years ago, news surfaced that the DOJ had issued 30 subpoenas for AP journalists' phone records. The fallout from this continues, which includes the DOJ modifying (very slightly) its rules for obtaining journalists' communication records.

When it comes to leak investigations, all bets – and all Constitutional protections – are off, apparently. The rules have exceptions and justifications to allow the DOJ to do what it wants to do anyway: spy on journalists until it can find the leak source. A new Office of Professional Responsibility report obtained by the Freedom of the Press Foundation FOIA request shows the DOJ convincing itself that threatening press freedoms is a responsible use of its powers.

The report is… important for what it tells us about the Justice Department’s Media Guidelines. Specifically, the report shows how weak the guidelines are, and how, in practice, the rules may offer little protection to journalists worried about being caught up in a criminal investigation. Although the guidelines have been revised since the AP subpoenas controversy, several of its standards remain intact. Among these is the requirement that proposed subpoenas be “narrowly drawn.”

While substantial portions of the Office of Professional Responsibility’s analysis are redacted, its finding that the AP subpoenas were “as narrowly drawn as possible” appears to have hinged on the perceived seriousness of the leak; the decision not to subpoena the telephone records for employees at the Post, the Times, and ABC News; the inability of investigators to determine to which AP reporter or editor the leaker had provided classified information; and “perhaps most importantly” the fact “the subpoenas requested the records for—and not the contents of—telephonic communications.”

Keith Tells Mother – ‘if Dani Killed a Child, Would You Let Her Go on Vacation?’

This is an item of interest to us – an audio played in court on May 30 – where Keith “line-bends” Dani’s mother, Adriana, into wanting her own daughter to be punished.

The audio features Keith slowly convincing Dani’s mother to do what he wants – in this case confine her daughter in a room in solitary confinement for what wound up being almost two years.

The audio was played while Dani was on the witness stand under direct examination and she was asked questions about it.

In the audio, Keith doesn’t give direct orders. He doesn’t say what he wants. Instead, Keith tells Adriana [the mother] that Daniela had a unique and rare position [with him and his world-saving mission, Nxivm] but she did a lot of damage that can never be reversed. She was given great, magnificent responsibilities and extraordinary privileges which she took, but did not do what was necessary to uphold them. Daniela damaged other people too in a dishonorable way.

Dani is being shunned by the Nxivm community and is not seeing Keith. She is undergoing rigorous punishment and discipline – like not being allowed outside without her parents’ consent and having to write reports of what she’s doing every 15 minutes but somehow she is failing in everything she tries to do to atone for her grievous ethical breach.

Her parents do not know how grave her crime is, they only know it is a full and complete ethical breach. Keith is too noble to tell them specifics. He is too wise, too concerned, too caring to reveal the secret breach she committed. Only know that it was great and grave.

At this time, the rambunctious and rebellious Dani asked to train for the triathlon. [She is not allowed out without permission. She is in her early 20s.] Conversely, Dani, frustrated about being shunned and always punished, asked her mother to go back to Mexico to lead a simple life, without being punished every waking hour.

Dani’s parents were devotees of the great Raniere and so they knew enough to trust his judgment over their willful and capricious daughter. He was not only the smartest man in the world, he was the most ethical.

In the audio, which captures Keith at his best, he doesn’t give a direct order. He doesn’t say directly what he wants. He works in an extremely indirect and metaphoric way.

Keith said that Daniela is using going back to Mexico as a threat because everybody wants her to stay.
