EBOLA DRILLS HELD STATEWIDE INCLUDING MERCY AND COX HOSPITALS

After the post about Ebola coming across the Southern border, I did a little dig for Ebola in the recent news to see if I could find anything that verified it. In doing so, I came across this action going in in Springfield, Mo.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. You've heard of tornado drills and disaster drills. But on Wednesday across Missouri there was a statewide Ebola drill for medical facilities to plan their response to the rare but often fatal virus.

Then I stumbled onto this. Laurie Garrett,

Former Sr. Fellow at CFR

She has written a book - "Ebola: Story of an Outbreak"

One reviewer of the book interestingly wrote, "The hysterical, judgemental writing style was extremely off-putting. Instead of factual information, we're treated to Ms. Garrett's judgemental tones where practically every sentence is peppered with adjectives meant to drive home the point that we're collectively supposed to be angered and appalled along with her. She repeatedly drives home the points she wishes to make to the point that I just couldn't continue reading the maudlin dreck any longer. I find it distasteful to be constantly manipulated by the 'journalist's' own feelings and would prefer to be treated as if I've the capacity to draw my own conclusions." Hmmmm

Garrett tweeted a link to this MAY 29, 2019 Miami Herald article that will make your hair stand on end:

"Venezuela doctors fear epidemic outbreak; Martínez, the virologist, shares this concern."

"The thieves descended on the Institute of Tropical Diseases in downtown Caracas from a nearby forest.

Once inside the compound that is part of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), they went on a rampage, leaving behind a trail of littered floors, broken glass and smashed doors. They took away medicine, computers, printers, microscopes, cables, laboratory glassware and air conditioners.

Foolishly, they also stole laboratory animals like rabbits, mice and chicken inoculated with parasites and bacteria.

“Who knows what could have happened to these people. They could have gotten severely sick or put other people in danger if they sold the animals in a market,” said Dr. Nahir Martínez, 50, the head of the virology department at the institute, the biggest and most prestigious in the country. Worries were etched in her otherwise placid face as she walked through the desolate part of the compound where the stolen animals had been held.

I wonder what she and CFR are up to as it related to Ebola and untold other medical horrors coming across our borders.
