I weeded the yard last week. Got poison ivy for the first time in my life-I’m 62 yrs old. Have it from my toes to my head. I went to the doc for it. She put me on prednisone. 60 mg/5 days then taper down. My wife told me I’d regret taking that high of a dose. I have been to the store 3 times today for junk food. Feels like someone is trying to push my eyeballs out of my head, drive nails in my joints and I have a hole in my stomach. My wife said, “I told you so”. Next time, I believe I will listen to her. I’ve never felt so bad.
It coming to the surface in huge blisters today. Itches horribly. I started prednisone yesterday. I’ve never had poison ivy before, so I’m not sure what it’s supposed to be like. I can’t concentrate; wife says that’s the prednisone.
