Where does the UK import most of its coal from?

Quite a lot of this coal came from Russia. Steam coal – suitable for use in producing steam, which is used to generate electricity – represented about 89 per cent of total coal imports in 2012. 96.1 per cent of UK steam coal imports came from just three countries in 2012 – Russia, Colombia and the USA.Apr 12, 2013
