I like Kenny Chesney. I didn't know about him until I heard "There Goes My Life". I had tears in my eyes because my granddaughter and I were really close when she was young, playing guitar, singing and laughing together……then she grew up and she drifted away with her new found freedom. I wouldn't have it any other way but it selfishly hurts.

I'm more into a bluegrassy, Texas swing, cowboy jazz type "country". So, I introduce you to The Timejumpers. Session musicians but they're so very good that Vince Gill sits in with them whenever he can. This is my fav of theirs but go on youtube and watch their Family Reunion to see how good they really are.

Randy Travis! He may not be the best but there's none better. Perfect country voice. This is a great country swing, Texas sound. So devastingly sad about his stroke. I remember a wonderful song of his called "Three Wooden Crosses"; sad but spiritually uplifting. I love his voice. I'm listening to it right now.

I will suggest again. Do a search on youtube for "the timejumpers family reunion". It's about 45 minutes, live. You get to see quality musicians (3 fiddle harmony). They do some great old songs and they are linked with Asleep at the Wheel in a roundabout way.

And just now, Alan Jackson came on; "Remember When". How great is that song?

I'm gonna thank you for our conversation to this point. I was in an oldie mood earlier however now I'm into a country/bluegrass feel. Right now I'm listening to Allison Krauss and Union Station. IMO, the best of the best.
