I think it's obvious JA was letting the DS know they were simply outmaneuvered. Whether you like/loathe JA, or are suspicious of him and his role or think he's the greatest "journalist" of all time, his role is a pivotal one in the end.
Towards the end of "Meganon's posts", many of which the narrative of her posts line up with Q in parallel, she suspected JA = Q. Folks like myself keep pointing out the JA's ties to Soros, and WL's front as a news outlet (read: espionage) ring suspicious of him as someone that may have said "enough's enough", and perhaps more gray hat than clearly white/black.
Perhaps he was in deep with the DS shit, but once he got wind of the crimes against children, snapped out of it and decided to execute an escape plan that involved DJT and US Mil directly, and the take down of the DS. In other words, maybe the entire "back and forth" with the US Mil and JA's backing out of agreements re: Manning was all kabuki to fool the DS into thinking JA was, indeed, a US Mil target.
There are very few people that have the complete picture, and that's for a very good reason. This whole thing is going to bring down a lot of people, swiftly, and very suddenly (once it kicks off). It's going to be interesting, for sure. Regardless, I'm certain JA's about as safe any anyone on the planet at this point.
