Everyone dies the first death. Little regard is given to this death. It is only a passing from one realm to the other. Yet life continues.
The REAL death is spiritual death. The second death. Buh-bye!
I think you're putting too much emphasis on life in this physical world. We are pilgrims, passing through. Store up your treasures for Heaven. Indeed terrible things happen in this secular world. We fight against them here. But those things will be left behind. We will be whole and rejoice in happiness after even the most brutal experiences. The physical plane we are experiencing will be looked back upon like it was just a movie. The physical death is not the end for those who are His. It is only the beginning. We exit the theater as the lights come on, and say "Wow, what an experience!", as we walk up the lighted isles and enter into the real world.
