Mysterious flashes of light observed on the moon’s surface

The ‘transient luminous lunar phenomena’ occur several times a week and illuminate parts of the moon’s landscape for a brief period of time before disappearing.

Sometimes, a reverse effect which causes the lunar surface to darken has also been observed.

German sciences have set up a special telescope that will then collect video or photographs when light flashes appear.

One prof said, ‘When the surface moves, gases that reflect sunlight could escape from the interior of the moon. This would explain the luminous phenomena, some of which last for hours.’

But there is currently no explanation for the briefer flashes.

Cruise ship smashes into Venice wharf as tourists flee. Ship unable to stop.

"The MSC ship had an engine failure, which was immediately reported by the captain," Davide Calderan, head of a tugboat company involved in accompanying the ship into its berth, told Italian media.

"The engine was blocked, but with its thrust on, because the speed was increasing," he said.

It's not the first time large ships caused problems.

In 2013 the government banned ships weighing more than 96,000 tonnes from the Giudecca Canal.

Critics said the waves the ships create are eroding the foundations of the lagoon city, which regularly floods, leaving iconic sites such as Saint Mark's Square underwater.

A regional court overturned that ban.

Hmmm. Back of hair is longer, which reminds me of Sampson.

Long hair was attributed to the strength of Sampson to defeat God's enemies, the Philistines of Gaza. Then he fell in love with the Philistine woman, Delilah, who deceived him ( just like some people I know). Kek

Delilah asked Samson continually about his strength and bugged him so much that he finally told her the secret to his strength - that he was given his strength at birth by God and that if his hair was cut he would lose his strength.

That evening as Samson slept, Delilah cut his hair and called in the Philistines. The Philistine men were able to capture Samson. They barged in, gouged his eyes out and took him to prison in Gaza. Then they took him to the Philistine Temple to humiliate him and mock his God.

Sampson prayed to God for his strength to return to defeat the Philistines.

Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the Philistine temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other.

Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.
