It's a shame he lives in an area without flux stone (calcium carbonate) because that seriously limits his ability to produce good iron or cement. In one episode he spends hours gathering snail shells from the forest as that's about his only source of CaCO3
There's another channel that features 2 filipino guys doing the same stuff–a total knock-off, really. But they have access to flux stone and are able to produce some good cement blocks.
