I remember being at a thrift story and there was a young man who was with the 'special' group from his 'home', a late 20's something Down's Syndrome man. He had a grover doll. He was standing outsdie the thrift store by himself with the puppet on his hand, turning it's face to him and smiling at it. It gave him so much joy.

 

Try to remember how much joy it does bring some people.

It's wicked funny. I don't think it's not.

My Point: these puppets are a source of joy for millions who know nothing about the issues with some of the puppeteers.
