I really dislike this Meme. Cleopatra's needle isn't in the City of London. It's outside The Savoy Hotel in Westminster. If Wren had been able to rebuild the City after the Great Fire of London it would have been here. It didn't happen though. Although, there are still pyramids and obelisks in the City.
