Haven't been to Philly in a while. It's an easy side trip if you are planning an East Coast, say July 4 trip. But on July 4 there isn't anywhere that won't have big crowds and hard -to-find parking.

And then, next year, we get another round of conventions. If you are there in the Summer, maybe a better vacation destination would be Ocean City or the Jersey Shore. That was my suggestion for people when they were at the Democrat convention. I don't know if anyone was hearing me.
