Thank you anon for confirming - this confirms what Daniel Hannan told us. It was one of the reasons why I voted for Brexit although there are many more. It is a culture of corruption for which the tax payers of Europe are paying a high price.
Also, every regulation that is created by the EU costs us money or loss of power and there are tens of thousands of these.
Also, the virtual monopoly on trade afforded to the large corporates as the close down smaller businesses by using the lobby system to create rules that smaller businesses cannot comply with.
