Where have I seen this concept before? How about that crowdfunded game called "We Happy Few" based on A Brave New World, it explores the idea of "What if the UK actually helped Germany during WWII?" As embarrassed as the populace was, they were unable to cope with their hand in the war and government started forcing everyone to take "Joy"

Rather interesting to see that game come out last year and now I'm seeing that anons are trying to connect that.
