President Trump has, therefore, pledged to civilize these backward lands, waging war against the criminalization of homosexuality. His announcement came soon after a report of the Iranian government hanging a 31-year-old man found guilty of kidnapping and raping two 15-year-old boys.
All sodomy being illegal there, many news agencies thought it just to include this child rapist among the persecuted LGBT minority in Iran. In this case, it is likely the Trump administration is using gay rights as a thin pretext to gain leverage over Iran. After all, the difference between an act of aggression and one of emancipation is only a rainbow sticker away.
However, global LGBT rights conforms to a larger design. To mobilize an entire worldwide campaign on behalf of a relatively minor subdivision of the populace may seem extravagant, but there is a colonial logic at work here. Sexual freedom is merely the foundational preamble to the greater liberation—that of capital.

German-Russian Chamber Of Commerce Opens New 4.5M Euro Moscow Headquarters

The German-Russian Chamber of Foreign Trade is opening its new office, in which it has invested a total of 4.5 million euros in purchase and interior design.
“Especially in politically difficult times, we are sending a signal that the German economy is holding fast to the Russian market and has confidence in its potential,” says Matthias Schepp, Chairman of the Executive Board of AHK.
According to the German Bundesbank, net direct investment by German companies in Russia last year amounted to 3.2 billion euros – the highest level since the global financial crisis ten years ago.
German-Russian trade also rose by 8.4 percent in 2018 to 61.9 billion euros.

PROVOCATION & WAR CRIMES – Kiev Launches More Than 60 Missiles In Past 24 Hours
KIEV – Jun 2, 2019 – The Ukrainian military launched more than 60 projectiles during the last 24 hours against the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a representative of the DPR told the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (CCCC) of the truce in eastern Ukraine.
During the last day the Ukrainian Army launched “a total of 63 projectiles against the south of the republic and the outskirts of Donetsk,” he told reporters.
He added that the Ukrainian uniformed personnel perpetrated attacks with mortars of 120 and 82 millimeters.
Since April 2014 Ukraine has carried out an operation against the militias in the eastern part of its territory – Donbass – where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk were proclaimed in response to the coup d’état in Kiev in February of the same year.
The Minsk agreements, signed in September 2014 and February 2015, laid the foundations for a political solution to the conflict but have not yet resulted in the cessation of violence whose result the UN estimates in more than 10,300 deaths, in addition to about 1.5 million displaced.

Syrian Army scores big advance in southern Idlib, 3 towns captured
BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a big advance in southern Idlib, Tuesday, capturing several towns from the jihadist and Turkish-backed rebels.
Backed by heavy airstrikes, the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces began their attack by storming the small town of Hamirat. Not long after attacking the town, they were able to break through the militant defenses and seize Hamirat.
Following the capture of Hamirat, the Syrian Army shifted its attention to the towns of Qaratah and Hardane. The Tiger Forces were able to impose full control over these towns after the collapse of the jihadist defenses.
The Syrian Arab Army has since halted its advance in favor of launching artillery on the militant defenses in the southwestern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.
On Monday, the Syrian Arab Army resumed their offensive in northwestern Syria after the jihadist rebels refused to honor a 48-hour-long ceasefire that was brokered by the Russian and Turkish armed force

U.S. Cyber Command selects new top deputy for Gen. Nakasone
Gen. Paul Nakasone, head of U.S. Cyber Command, has selected the organization’s chief of staff as his top deputy, a decision that coincides with an ongoing effort to fortify digital readiness before the next election.
Ross Myers, who began serving as the command’s chief of staff last May, was confirmed by the Senate last week and has been promoted from rear admiral to vice admiral and three-star deputy commander. Nakasone, who is both the commander of Cyber Command and the Director of the National Security Agency, promoted Myers on Memorial Day.
Myers has previously served as director of plans and policy at Cyber Command. He also served in several roles for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, including as assistant deputy director for Global Operations and executive assistant to vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also is a career naval aviator.

‘Bloody massacre’ in Sudan as security forces crush pro-democracy camp on June 3
Sudan security forces crushed a long-running pro-democracy protest in the capital, reportedly killing at least 35 people, as the country’s military rulers cancelled an agreement to surrender power to a civilian government.
Gunfire and explosions rocked the site outside army headquarters in Khartoum on Monday, which came a day before the 30th anniversary of the Chinese crackdown on student demonstrators in Tiananmen Square.
Hundreds of people fled the area in Khartoum, where protesters first gathered in early April to urge the military to support their uprising that eventually unseated veteran President Omar al-Bashir.
The head of the ruling military council said on Tuesday that protest leaders shared blame for the violence, accusing them of dragging out negotiations and seeking to keep other sectors of Sudanese society out of an interim government.

Judge removes lead Navy prosecutor in SEAL Gallagher’s war crimes case after email spying
A military judge has removed the lead prosecutor who was accused of misconduct in Chief Special Warfare Operator Eddie Gallagher’s case, a move that has signaled momentum in favor of the defense for the Navy SEAL who awaits his court-martial for murder charges.
Gallagher’s defense team last week argued motions to both remove Cmdr. Chris Czaplak and also to dismiss the case entirely. While the judge, Navy Capt. Aaron Rugh, has not yet ruled on the dismissal, he determined Monday that Czaplak is to be removed from the case because he might be investigated for “wrongdoing,” signaling a possible conflict of interest, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
“The Navy is complying with the judge’s order,” said Navy Region Southwest spokesman Brian O’Rourke, the Union-Tribune reported. “The senior trial counsel will be replaced by a qualified Navy attorney. Chief Petty Officer Gallagher is entitled to a fair trial, and the Navy is committed to upholding that principle.”
Andrea Gallagher, Eddie Gallagher’s wife, posted to Instagram on Monday night a photo of Czaplak with the phrase “you’re fired” imposed over his face, saying, “We are pleased with the Judge’s decision as it validates our position that CZAPLAK has overseen and coordinated a concerted effort to deprive Eddie of his constitutional rights.”

Complexity of EU health data exchange 'underestimated'
The European Commission underestimated how difficult it would be to link healthcare data from different EU member states, according to a new report out on Tuesday (4 June).
The report, by the independent European Court of Auditors, said that the commission managed the implementation of the 2011 cross-border healthcare directive well.
"However, EU patients still face challenges in accessing healthcare abroad and only a minority of potential patients are aware about their rights to seek cross border healthcare," the report said.
Annually, some 200,000 patients receive healthcare treatments in another EU country. In 2016, more than 70 percent of them were French.
The countries which most often receive patients from other EU countries are Spain (46,000 in 2016), Portugal (33,000) and Belgium (27,000).
The European Court of Auditors - which despite its name is not an actual court - looked at the implementation of an EU programme that allows the exchange of medical data, the eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure (eHDSI).
The report said that the EU commission "underestimated difficulties involved in deploying an EU-wide eHealth infrastructure", and overestimated when EU member states would use the system.

Johnson & Johnson opioids helped create 'worst man-made public health crisis in history,' Oklahoma says in court
The first trial against a pharmaceutical opioid manufacturer started in Oklahoma on Tuesday in what could be a precedent-setting case.
The state's attorney general, Mike Hunter, began the day by accusing Johnson & Johnson of putting profits over responsibility and argued that the company was responsible for the "worst man-made public health crisis in the history of our state and country."
In the multibillion-dollar lawsuit against the drugmaker, lawyers for the state argued that Johnson & Johnson knew about the addictive nature of opioids, but misled doctors by downplaying the risks of the drugs while touting its benefits.
Brad Beckworth, a lawyer for Oklahoma, argued that Johnson & Johnson was motivated to increase sales on multiple fronts as both the manufacturer of the drugs Duragesic and Nucynta and as a supplier of the raw materials for other opioid manufacturers. He argued that a marketing push by Johnson & Johnson lead doctors to overprescribe opioids in Oklahoma.

18 Major Scandals in Obama’s ‘Scandal-Free’ Presidency
President Obama and his mouthpieces have embarked on a bizarre scheme to hypnotize America into forgetting the many scandals of his presidency. They seem to think that intoning “this administration hasn’t had a scandal” over and over again will make history disappear. It’s the lamest Jedi Mind Trick ever, and is being pushed on people who know Star Wars is just a movie.
Here’s a short list of the many scandals Team Obama thinks it can make America forget:
The great “stimulus” heist: Obama seems to think nobody will remember he grabbed almost a trillion dollars for “stimulus” spending, created virtually zero private-sector jobs with it, allowed a great deal of the money to vanish into thin air, and spent the rest of his presidency complaining that he needed hundreds of billions more to repair roads and bridges.
Vast sums of taxpayer money were wasted on foolish projects that came close to the Keynesian economic satire of hiring some people to dig holes, and others to fill them in. Obama added insult to injury by appointing Vice President Joe Biden as the “sheriff” who would supposedly find all that missing stimulus loot.
Americans mostly ended up footing the bill for was an army of government jobs, and a lavish network of slush funds for the Democratic Party and its union allies. We’re supposed to forget about all that because years later, Obama’s weak economy finally dragged itself to something like normal “official” employment levels… with the U.S. national debt doubled, and our workforce rate reduced to Carter-era lows. Sorry, Democrats, but that’s more than just failed policy. It’s one of the worst government-spending scandals in our history. Democrats will howl to the moon over far, far smaller abuses of taxpayer money during the Trump administration, should any occur.
Operation Fast and Furious: Obama partisans seem to think any given example of abuse or ineptitude by their man stopped being a “scandal” the moment it seemed clear he wouldn’t be impeached over it. Operation Fast and Furious, the Obama administration’s insane program to use American gun dealers and straw purchasers to arm Mexican drug lords, is a scandal with a huge body count, prominently including Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Jamie Zapata, plus hundreds of Mexican citizens. Agent Terry’s family certainly thinks it qualifies as a scandal.
