Any of that is possible, but it's true that many people have what is sometimes called "resting bitch face". This anon is afflicted with one; my face, when relaxed, looks like a thunderstorm. :(
We may never know what was said.
There again, the Queen has seen an enormous amount of history unfold. She was hit with the burden of being the monarch at age of only 25, after her father's premature death from lung cancer. She wasn't even supposed to be in line for the throne; if her idiot uncle Edward hadn't lost his marbles over Wallis Simpson, none of the current Mountbatten-Windsors would be where they are. It's just as well, though. Edward was weak (in almost every way, as every biography points out) and Elizabeth, thanks to her natural temperament, has been an outstanding monarch.
It's nice to see all the ladies in tiaras, too. Very pretty. It was wonderful to see the table setting and flowers for the State Banquet, magnificent. Couldn't help but wonder if we'll see the likes of it again; so many traditions are dying, and it's such a shame. The rabid pursuit of everything modern constantly destroys things of beauty and value.
Was not keen to see people bashing Tiffany in the DM story comments today. She's in law school, she's not pregnant. Who didn't gain some weight on fast food in college? Speaking of weight: somebody please give the Duchess of Cambridge a sandwich. We can see Kate's ribs and collarbone a little too clearly.
I'm favor of the UK keeping its constitutional monarchy; the institution is a very intrinsic part of the nation's history and today, its very face and personality.
I don't trust anyone who wants to toss out EVERYTHING of age, every tradition. That attitude is immature, and foolish.
