A former Obama administration official pleaded guilty Tuesday after being charged for groping a woman in his New York apartment.
Tom Frieden, former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in order to avoid jail time, according to The Hill.
“Frieden was initially arrested in August 2018 and charged with misdemeanor forcible touching, third-degree sexual abuse and second degree harassment after he police said he inappropriately touched the woman in October 2017,” the report said.
Freiden currently serves as the president and CEO of a medical nonprofit called Resolve to Save Lives. He has not been removed from his position despite the criminal conviction."
