‘Being Pro-Abortion is Not Real Feminism’: Nikki Haley Shreds Pro-Choice Movement
Former United Nations Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley gave a speech at the Susan B. Anthony List gala in which she argued that being pro-abortion is not being pro-women.
“Unfortunately, many on the left use the abortion debate to divide women and demand conformity,” Haley stated. “They do this in the name of feminism. But that is not real feminism."
Haley pointed out that “you’re anti-women if you’re pro-life,” is a ludicrous narrative pushed by pro-abortion advocates. She pointed out that expecting all women to have the same beliefs is not real feminism, and in-fact is the opposite.
“The idea that women must adhere to a particular set of values is one of the most anti-women ideas in today’s culture,” Haley added. “It is a rejection of the ideas of equality and tolerance that the women’s movement is supposed to be about.”
