If a report from a Special Counsel is only expected to be a statement

from Mueller on whether crimes were committed

how is it that Dershowitz was able to "presell" his big book

on the basis of his introduction?

Did Dershowitz have several possible versions of his introduction?

If you look at the comments on Amazon for this book

"the mueller report"

you will read numerous complaints about the quality of the contents.

People feel cheated and misled,

saying such things as

"the introduction shaded my ability to interpret the report for myself"

The FCC should form a regulation for all publications.

If any print or broadcast program states something as "news"

then what it labels as news must be "factual."

It should outline the parameters of "news resources"

as a report of events as they happen – public record –

As the recording of the history of human events MUST be factual

then standards must apply.

"Opinion" broadcasts must state that it is an opinion program.

"News" must be provable fact

After the first violation of a mistatement of fact (fake news)

the "reporter" will be put in a database as public record.

Ever after the corporation itself will be liable for any misstated facts.

Liable means a mark against their broadcasting license and fines

and possible libel/slander lawsuits.

Easy peasy. Regulate the damn news under "public interest"

This wouldn't create a police state

it would require that information given out to the public

be properly labeled as what it is

"truth in advertising"

There should be a database for all public figures that tracks their "misstatements of fact"

news people or politicians

For instance, since many are calling President Trump a liar

the database would prove or disprove it.

No punishments. Just information gathered for public interest.

D-Day was a great military day

but I still have a nagging sense that it was horribly mismanaged.

The airplanes that were supposed to bomb the German outposts

got lost.

Even so, soldiers were released to the beach nevertheless

killing too too many

A closer inspection will likely reveal other badly planned moves.

That saying

I am not a fan of Winston Churchill. I think he orchestrated the war

in more ways than one.

He was also the attorney for British Petroleum when Persia (now Iran) claimed that the contract had been violated

and sought for years to renegotiate the very bad deal

that was made by a corrupt King.

This lack of willingness to work with Persia

is what led to the Mullahs taking power

and the oil declared owned by the people.

It was the only way to get their rights back.

And Churchill was the bad actor here that caused it.

there must be a factual record available

that states the origin of this

as well as the actual records that prove it.

If no provable facts are available

it is "opinion"

and should be labeled properly as that.

This would include videos that have been altered

I definitely didn’t need Alan Dershowitz’ opinionated introduction! In fact, I wouldn’t have bought this version if I’d realized it was going to be added.

As a public figure that has demonstrated bias for Trump, Dershowitz should not have written the introduction to this book. His views on the report are presented as fact, not legal opinion. We already had Barr’s dubious interpretation of the report. We don’t need another. I would have bought a different version is I had realized he was involved with this one.
