Got a few things done, thanks for helping.

ANONS: BAKERS NEEDED: What are your ideas, anons?

QResearch has a pretty acute baker shortage, as you know. What are your ideas about how to help/support them?

Anyone have any questions about any aspect of baking or proposals on how to make it easier/more do-able for newbies?

Some anons have said they don't mind baking but are put off by gathering notes.

Questions or comments?

One anon mentioned baker/note-taker combos as a possibility. I did some of that with phonefagging bakers at the beginning. Learned to take notes first, bake later. For me, baking was the challenge because of need for multi-tasking and timing. But could it work as a solution to baker shortage?

Understand your point. "Baker assist" was totally panned at one point by former BO. Problem IMO was that an overly enthusiastic anon promoted the idea in a way that seemed…hmmm….not in keeping with the idea that bakers are independent and don't need anyone to assist them ("bakers are in charge of their breads").

Totally respect that idea but as a practical matter, some bakers lack decent equipment and benefit by note-taking from anons. I know, because I did a lot of it. On the other side, some anons are comfortable taking notes but not so much with baking, coz they know things can go wrong and don't want to screw up QResearch.

The one thing is know is this:

We need to be open to any ideas that will generate better baking solutions. Don't get too stuck on just one possible approach.

This baker is not a clown and knows of no regular anons baking right now who are. Rather, most bakers sacrifice a lot to bake. This is what motivated me in the first place. And many others, too.

Of course, anyone can bake, including shills, clowns, etc. If a baker is a shill, anons can object to what they include (make them toe the line), so that is NOT the biggest problem. Saw it not long ago–engaged anons insisting that a particular post was not appropriate. Bread still got baked and most notables were fine.

BO, I already told you this was my opinion. FYI, this particular post was submitted by anons next bread after I'd already SIGNED OUT as baker, it was ghost bake if I recall. I said the supporters could resubmit to next baker. Which they did. And he included it.

Anons do that every bread. One baker doesn't include what another will. So what's the problem? And as another anon has observed, anyone can bake including shills.

But unlike you, I do not see 80% of bakers as shills. I'm sorry that you do. I have great respect for all anons and bakers on this board. We give our time freely and do the best we can to support Q team.

Not going to argue with you about this ONE post any more. There are hundreds and thousands of posts in breads I've baked, and most are just fine. I always give anons the chance to comment and 99.9% of the time, they are fine with the notables included.

Of course, when shills GANG UP, they can get stuff thrown out of notables if anons hang back. That is what is happening right here, right now. Not much I can do about it, though, is there? Nobody wants to go up against the BO.
