As a UK Anon, I was especially plesed to hear POTUS use the word "crusade" today. I think he also used it during his UK visit at some point, too. The reason is that "crusade" has become a dirty word in the UK and the use of it is more or less considered "hate speech" these days because, apparently, Muslims associate the word with the Muslim v Christian Crusades of a thousand years ag, no less! You won't hear a British politician use the word these days for fear of a Muslim backlash. So it pleases me no end to hear POTUS (correctly and fearlessly)) use the word. I'm sick and tired of oh-so-tolerant lefties marching through our English dictionary with black marker pens, scrawling out words of which they disapprove.
Hear, hear. I continue to use all the non pc words when appropriate, whether people like it or not. They are more accurate and descriptive than the nonsensical, p.c. euphemisms they have been replaced with.
Something Macron said that he disagreed wit, I'd guess. See how he crossed his arms…
Oh no, today of all days…dear Lord, preserve them, please.
