EUAnon here, please help to understand this:

Who is paying for US overseas bases? Pentagon? US Government? Or government from where this base is? For example Germany, Italy, Kosovo… etc?

Is there any government page, when you can find spending for each overseas base?

If for example you want to cancel some overseas base, who is in charge of that? Senate, House, President, or some General?

Do US citiens have knowledge about all oveseas bases US have? Do they care about point of them? Do they know how many soldiers are there? How much many it cost?
I am asking this because i was owehelmed of how many bases US have, and how many soldiers, but on the other hand, you dont protect your own country - Mexico border with cartels, drugs, weapons, illegals.
This is so unlogical, it hurts my brain.
Imagine if you cancel one big overseas base, and move it to Mexico border.
Just thought.
(Yes, i understand that you have to protect your interests WW, but amout of those bases is crazy, and expensive as fuck)
