That was my previous parish before I rejoined active duty and left the area. Right across the street from FSU campus, and near Frenchtown, which has one of the highest crime stats in the city. From the picture it looks like the arsonist burned the Bishop's chair and coat of arms right above it.
Not sure why that was specifically targeted. But, I have heard that the new Bishop for the Pansacola-Tallahassee diocese is being more active on cooperating with law enforcement to go after predator priests in his area. I remember he turned over a priest sometime last year. Got me thinking if someone is trying to send him a message.
