Last I checked, your country being a dump and overrun with gangbangers (or so they claim) is not a legitimate reason for asylum, heck in that case how come Americans living in Detroit, Baltimore or some other cities don't get a chance for asylum?!

Do it. Average folks, good citizens and normal people gravitate to people have and display strength of will, sound decision making and strength in carrying through with righteous decisions that are done for the good of the country. There are always going to be those who get triggered, offended and go askew raging about how it's unfair.
My view is that if Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, seals the border and stops this insane flow of "gibmedats", then even more voters will gravitate toward him, no matter how MSM tries to spin it.
