Russian Band Pussy Riot to Stage Planned Parenthood Benefit in Alabama
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — The Russian protest band Pussy Riot is planning a concert in Alabama to benefit Planned Parenthood after the state passed the nation’s toughest anti-abortion law.
Al.com reports that the feminist band is set to perform July 11 at a music venue in Birmingham.
A tweet by the band says the show will benefit both Planned Parenthood and the Yellowhammer Fund, which says it provides funding for anyone seeking care at one of the state’s three abortion clinics.
Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union are suing to block the Alabama law, which would ban all abortions except ones when the women’s health is at serious risk.
Backers of the law say they hope court challenges will lead to a Supreme Court decision outlawing abortions nationwide.

Russia Claims John Kerry Secretly Approved of Crimea Invasion
Russia’s RT.com summarized Lavrov’s comments to the RBK news service:
I won’t reveal a big secret if I say that John Kerry was telling me in April 2014: ‘Everything is clear. Everything happened the way the Crimean people wanted. But, for form’s sake, hold another one [referendum],” Lavrov stated.
Moscow dismissed the idea as unnecessary.
“If you already understand everything, why make people vote again?” Lavrov said, explaining the Kremlin’s reasoning.
Lavrov, who is one of the longest-serving senior Russian officials, in office since 2004, said he hopes his revelations won’t spoil his relationship with Kerry.
“I hope John will not take offense at me,” Lavrov said, adding that Kerry, in his own memoir, also spilled some of their tête-à-tête conversations. Lavrov and Kerry were on good terms during the latter’s tenure as secretary of state from 2013 to 2017 – their rapport was credited in sealing the 2013 deal on destroying Syrian chemical weapons.
RT.com speculated Kerry is “unlikely to admit he ever recognized the Crimean referendum” because the Obama administration considered the referendum “illegal” and an “illegitimate move by the Russians to annex Crimea,” as President Barack Obama put it. The U.S. and European Union imposed punitive sanctions on Russia after the referendum.

Mother Shoots Home Invasion Suspect Armed with Hammer
A mother defending her children shot a suspect who, armed with a hammer, entered her Bakersfield, California, home on Tuesday.
247Headline reported that the suspect entered the home just after 8:00 a.m., armed with a hammer. The mother, fearing for herself and her children, grabbed a gun and shot him.
Neither the woman nor her children were harmed.
Bakersfield.com identified the suspect as 33-year-old Andrew Oldham. He was transported to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported that the charges against Oldham include “robbery, burglary, child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon.”

American Killed Trying To Smuggle Chinese Men Over The U.S.-Mexico Border
A U.S. citizen attempting to smuggle Chinese men over the border was killed Monday night in a shootout with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents, according to a statement released Wednesday by the agency.
Travis James Eckstein, a 23-year-old American, attempted to drive through the CBP inspection area at the San Ysidro port of entry, along the San Diego/Tijuana border.
Eckstein ignored commands from CBP officials to stop. After another vehicle came and prevented Eckstein from leaving, he started shooting at multiple CBP officers from inside his truck, the San Diego Police reported.
Eckstein continued the shooting as he got out of his vehicle when CBP officers returned fire. Eckstein was wounded and died on the scene despite officers with EMT training and San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel giving him medical care. The report states none of the seven CBP officers were injured in the shooting.
“We cannot speculate his motive,” a CBP official told The Daily Caller,
A video was captured by a witness of the shooting. The sound of gunfire can be heard and shows the officers surrounding Eckstein’s vehicle.

I ran across this connection when studying the various HAARP type facilities around the world, all of which were preceded by the Russian “Woodpecker” phenomenon in the 70′s and 80′s. Interestingly enough, the giant “Steel Yard” as NATO called it, is located in Chernobyl, Ukraine. It is within the “exclusion zone” of the now defunct Chernobyl reactor.
