Seems many people hold Russia responsible for the Soviet Union's marred past (or willfully conflate the two to keep tensions roiling)

Russia ousted the communists for goodness sakes! Half of our country won't even acknowledge communists exist here in large numbers.

Russia/Putin should be commended for encouraging family ties, Christianity & child bearing. That's the high road to success imo
