I don't think it was a response to JA or Q. If it was, the message is a little odd. The board is from "The Great Basin" and depicts a WTF of a chess game.
Queen attacked H3 to claim White's Queen. White Rook to H8 and the game ended in a draw.
Here is the question… The game ended with White unable to make a valid move, but Black's King was in check at the end of White's last valid move. Normally, White would have lost if unable to make a valid move - stalemate. Yet, Black had only one possible move, on its next turn. It had to react to the check, or lose, even if White's King was in check on its next move.
At best, if they are saying anything, it is "where we are going, there are no prescribed rules."
