Presumably Bormann was Hitler's handler.
Two independent data points here that don't depend on theories about the cabal:
1) Hitler's Traitor by Louis Kilzer uses released USSR docs to argue that Bormann was actually a previously known spy from inside the Reich who aided the Soviets. The fact THAT such a spy existed seems to have been known, but Bormann is being identified.
2) Albert Speer, the most honest and intellectual "Nazi", repeatedly describes his distrust of Bormann in his published writings. It seems they all pretty much distrusted him.
